How you will make an impact

The Social Media Manager is responsible for ensuring that Sunrise Movement’s social posts are in line with the Sunrise’s voice, style, and quality bars.

About Us

In November 2018, following our 6-month 75-person electoral organizing fellowship, Sunrise Semester, we launched the campaign for a Green New Deal alongside Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In 2019, Sunrise has continued fighting for a Green New Deal and elevating the urgency of climate change in the public and the media. Sunrise Movement Education Fund (501c3) and Sunrise (501c4) are organizations dedicated to supporting the mobilization and leadership of Sunrise Movement.

According to the United Nations IPCC 2018 report, we have 11 years to avert the worst effects of the climate crisis. Eleven years to prevent ecological catastrophe and human suffering on a massive scale. We have endured toxic air, dirty water, and life-ending climate disasters for decades while fossil fuel CEOs reap the profits and corrupt politicians turn a blind eye. The Green New Deal is the only plan to address the scope and scale of the crisis in the way that science and justice demand. Join us in making the Green New Deal a reality across the country.
