BPA lines tins of food

So we found out the other day that a lot of BPA lines tins of food. That is crazy. I’d never even considered it being in a can of beans. BPA is an endocrine system (hormone) disruptor with a variety of consequences. There’s plenty of studies but even if you’re skeptical it’s generally a good rule of thumb to not ingest unnecessary toxins. If you live in Europe, Canada or North America then you’ve got some ongoing regulations around this (including a limit of BPA allowed). If you live in NZ or Australia no such thing exists. In the meantime? There are now lots of brands on the market that are BPA free tins – look for the label 🙂 (Side note these cans are of course a bit more expensive – so this adversely affects lower economic status people more and exposes them to more health issues… again.)
