Do you know Rob Greenfield?

Do you all follow @robjgreenfield? Go find him if not! Rob is an adventurer and activist who recently finished up eating only foraged and harvested food for an entire year which also served to highlight a number of the issues we have in the industrialized food system.

He has been living in his own tiny house and previously dived into more than 2,000 dumpsters across the States to demonstrate how nearly half of all food in the U.S. is wasted while 50 million (1 in 7) Americans are food insecure. @anurbanharvester also does this at the moment – follow along for the crazy stories and education.

Rob has cycled across the States on a bamboo bicycle bringing his message of sustainability throughout the country and his first ride is also a book, Dude Making a Difference.

All of Rob’s extreme adventures and activism campaigns are meant to bring attention to important environmental and social issues. They’re unattainable for many of us but that’s not the point. It gets us to stop and think about how we’re living, the systems we are in and he provides simple tips that many of us can adapt. And it gives you hope if that helps spur your own activism.

What are you up to lately? We’d love to hear about some personal projects!
