Face Wipes / Makeup Removers
These wipes are ideal for removing makeup, applying toner or using as baby wipes. They are larger than others so can be used a couple of times before needing a wash and double up for multiple functions. One side is baby soft and the other is a perfect exfoliator. They are made from a blend of hemp and either lyocell or cotton and are home compostable. We produce them in squares to eliminate the fabric waste cutting circles creates. Face wipes are provided in little bundles of 4 – perfect for your weekly uses.

Most baby and makeup wipes are synthetic, they build up in sewers and take up to 100 years to degrade in landfill. They are also packaged in plastic that goes straight to waste. They create fatbergs like this one and litter beaches across the world. The Marine Conservation Society estimates an average of 35 wipes found on every kilometre of beach in the UK (1). By using our face wipes you have purchased a much more sustainable fabric that can be used for years and years. You’ll be removing the oil required for plastic, the environmental destruction, unethical labor practises and transportation emissions and you’re helping to protect animals that suffer from plastic waste.

Bundle twine
100% hemp string from a sustainable farm. If your hemp arrives colored, it has been dyed using local plants to create color.
Drawstring
The drawstring of the bag is made from 100% hemp twine from a sustainable farm in Thailand. It is twisted at our small, ethical sewing centre to make the cord.
Label
There are no labels on this product. If you select our hemp storage bag, the label is made from the off-cuts we save whilst cutting our products. This helps us reduce waste as much as possible and makes the labels 100% home compostable.

This is an easy care product. Please add these to your washing machine on a gentle, cold cycle. There may be some small shrinkage from the first wash. Lay flat or hang from the top or bottom to dry. Do not tumble dry. Store them in our storage bag, a jar you have at home, a tin or similar.
We only use plastic-free packaging and ensure everything is eco-friendly and beautifully presented. Your item is provided inside a minimal, recycled card packaging box using post-consumer waste. Your item is shipped inside one of our custom boxes which can be recycled or composted and where required is kept protected with 100% post-consumer waste shredded paper (recycled or composted).
Where products are wrapped, our tissue paper is custom designed, eco-friendly printed with vegetable ink. The tissue paper is acid, lignin and sulfur free and FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council to promote sustainable forestry).
Our mailers and envelopes are made from recycled materials. Our thank you cards are made from 100% recycled cotton t-shirts. We use paper tape for any additional closures. Please compost and recycle our packaging as appropriate.
This item is designed to last for years but if it wears out or reaches end of life it can be cut up and buried in soil or added to your compost. Please cut them up carefully. The storage bag is also completely compostable.
The wipes come available as shown in the photos in one size: 12cm x 12cm.

You can select to receive your wipes in a 100% hemp storage bag (that doubles as our snack bag). Perfect for travelling, picnics or keeping safe in your bathroom or your bag.
Plastic free packaging
All of our packaging is plastic free. Your face wipes come in a minimally designed package which can be composted or recycled. Your item will either arrive in a recyclable card box or eco-friendly mailer.
