The Walled Medieval town of San Gimigano

This gorgeous town is a must when you’re in the region. Spend the afternoon and a relaxed evening here with a picnic or looking over the hills of Tuscany beyond the walls.

The top tip for San Gimi

Pop into every store. Every single one. Look around. Taste. Touch. Smile. These little shops that stock the town are thoughtful and filled. With way too much stuff (no need to buy!) but with such care you can only smile.

Make sure you walk outside the city walls and up the hill to check out the surrounding scenery…and catch the sunset if you can (there’s plenty of wine and food at the restaurants after).
