PLANT THURSDAY / This interesting looking flower is a Venus Slipper, a species of orchid from the genus Paphiopedilum. Approximately 80 species are currently recorded around the world, as well as many other hybrids that growers have created by crossing natural species to come up with evermore elaborate shaped and colored flowers.
