There’s a whole lot of facts in the latest IPBES report; this is one. The average abundance of native species has fallen by at least 20% since 1990. We can all probably agree that’s a terrible thing. What’s IPBES? It’s a mouthful! It’s the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. The report last year was the most comprehensive assessment of global biodiversity and developed by 455 authors.
