Numbats are small endangered marsupials native to parts of Australia. This little creature is one of our favorite animals and our incredible environmental scientist Emily (who happens to use her skills working to save these in her spare time) has been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one in the wild – they are very elusive!

Numbats are under threat from habitat loss and introduced predators like foxes and feral cats – it is estimated that there are fewer than 1,000 individuals left. We’re extremely grateful that organisations like Project Numbat are actively working to protect this species.
