We can change the way we buy with a little research

Many of us are having a really horrible time (please feel welcome to reach out, we are here to chat) and many of us will struggle through – or be stretching it but ok – with a little extra time. You can do anything with it but we’d like to recommend a few things!⁣ First up, we can ease in by using that time so we don’t return to normal buying habits.
⁣
LOCAL // It might finally be time to do some research of your local area without the busy drum of life getting in the way; the best grocers, local produce delivery, regenerative farms, low waste stores, sustainable cafes/restaurants, markets and wine stores for example. If you’ve got a little budget (and need the items) you can order from them in support or you can note them down to visit after we’re allowed back into the world. Tag in one of your local favorites, we’d love to see! ⁣
⁣
LESS // Buy less, but better. This period might also make us realize how little we really need. We don’t need to buy things to make us feel better. And sometimes we do still need things of course. We can be sustainable and also love handcrafted design and beautiful things, supporting creativeness and slowly made rather than mass manufacturing. We can also make our own and grow our skills.⁣
⁣
LOVED // Now could also be the time to finally find the sustainable and ethical brands online that you could order from when you really do need something. You can spend an hour (or three!) doing the full research, and sending any questions. One of us is currently on the hunt for shoes that will last many years again for example. (Pssst we have a slowly handmade little studio in rural Cambodia @nowhereandeverywhereshop). ⁣
⁣
Pop your best finds on a list. Small businesses – particularly the ones who have been doing it ethically where margins are teeny tiny – are doing it so, so tough so we also think it would be lovely if we:⁣

🎁 Send a friend a gift⁣ from them
🙎🏽 Share them (and all your research) on your platforms⁣
