Bamboo straws
Our bamboo straws are made by a little team in Vietnam from local, panda-free bamboo. They are not laquered with chemicals. The bamboo is a natural material so variations in the design exist in each straw.
Stainless steel straws
Our stainless steel straws are made in China from 304 food grade stainless steel. They are engraved in Australia at a wonderful little business.
Cutlery & straw pouch
Your straws and cutlery will arrive in a 100% pure hemp carry pouch. The straw bag can be tied close at the top with 100% hemp twine.
Coconut brush cleaner
Our coconut brush cleaners are created in Vietnam. The stem is made from metal (this can be recycled) and the bristles are made from coconut fibre instead of nylon (these can be popped into your compost, with the worms or added to your soil).
Hemp produce bags
Our produce bags are made from 100% pure, sustainable hemp from a small farm in Northern Thailand. Hemp is the most eco-friendly fabric and we do not blend it with cottons or nylon. The drawstring of the bag is made from 100% hemp twine from the same place in Thailand. It is twisted at our small, ethical sewing centre to make the cord.
Essentials carry pouch
Our carry pouches are made from recycled linens (neutrals) and recycled cottons (patterns). Our fabric is redirected from landfill in order to reduce our environmental impact. Instead of using new (virgin) materials, we collect fabrics that would otherwise have been burned or found their way to landfill. As cottons (whether organic or conventional) take an enormous amount of resources to produce we prefer to use fabrics that are already in existence and would have gone to waste. These fabrics exist from an over-supply to businesses, wrong orders, unused due to changes etc. We collect these and use them for our products. Our lining for this carry pouch is made from 100% pure, sustainable hemp from a small farm in Thailand.

Made from sustainable bamboo and nylon 6 BPA free bristles. Please remove these before composting.
Custom Joco cup
Made from non-porous borosilicate glass which was founded by a German glass-making inventor named Otto Schott in the late 19th century. It is well known for its resistance to thermal shock, heat retention, is light weight, shock resistant, non-porous and has great optical clarity. Borosilicate is high grade glass free of harmful chemicals. BPA, lead & cadmium free. Food grade safe. LFGB, Reach & FDA compliant.
100% hemp string bag
Our string bags are made from 100% pure, sustainable hemp from a small farm in Northern Thailand. Hemp is the most eco-friendly fabric and we do not blend it with cottons or nylon. They are hand spun and not colored with chemicals and toxins.

Please follow the care instructions for each individual item. Generally, cool to lukewarm machine wash or handwash for products we make. Air dry or hang to dry.
All of our packaging is thoughtful and plastic free. Where packages require padding, we use post-consumer, recycled shredded paper. Our tissue paper is custom designed and uses vegetable ink (rather than standard petroleum-based ink). It is acid, lignin and sulfur free and is FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council for sustainable forestry). Our mailers and envelopes are recycled. Our thank you cards are made from recycled cotton t-shirts. We use paper tape for any additional closures. The Humble Co toothbrush packaging is 100% recycled and both it and the inner pouch made from paper is also compostable.
Your kit will be sent directly to you in our beautiful, custom designed box. Depending on where it’s headed it may be wrapped in recyclable brown paper. When you open the box you’ll see a hand drawn piece on the inner lid that you can cut out and hang up or frame. Your box can be recycled.
Please see the end of life guide for each individual product. Generally, the hemp, cotton & linen products we make can be composted, buried or will biodegrade in landfill. Reuse them as much as possible before doing so. All card and paper items can be recycled and most can be composted. For the Humble Co toothbrush, snap the head off and bury the handle or add it to your compost. The head with the bristles can be placed in your rubbish.
Your kit will include products of varying color styles. Examples are in the photos here and each product page. Your toothbrush is bamboo with black or white bristles.
